The old filleting plant in Miðvágur has been refurbished and is expected to reopen next month.

A limited liability company, which will take over the running of the Snarfrost filleting plant, was registered yesterday with a share capital of DKK 2 million.

The company consists of four siblings from Sørvágur. Tummas Henriksen, the CEO of the new company, Snarfrost Ltd, says that the refurbishment of the plant has taken longer than expected. He told KVF in mid-February that the plant would be ready to use in March.

Snarfrost will process between 2,000 and 3,000 tonnes of bottom fish per year, according to Henriksen.
